Gerhard Schoder
Lord Mayor for Neuburg 2026

A win

for Neuburg.

Someone who listens and connects.

  • Solving problems starts with listening and understanding what moves people. It is precisely this skill that I have learned and honed in 25 years of professional experience in business. This also includes respecting other opinions and finding workable solutions together.

  • In the town hall, we need people who can approach each other, especially across party lines. I have shown in many joint motions that results are more important to me than the "fame" of a lighthouse motion that then falls through. It must once again become a matter of course that we in the City Council evaluate the content of motions put forward by democratic competitors. After all, it should only be about the well-being of our citizens and the city, not about sensitivities.

  • As a city councillor and officer for innovation and digital affairs, I have experienced first-hand over the last 6 years what kind of leadership experience and style is needed to achieve results for the citizens of the city. Because standing still can no longer be an option for Neuburg. Place your trust in me and let's move Neuburg forward together.

One who breaks new ground.

Nobody loves traffic jams, but at the same time far too little is being done to make traffic in Neuburg flow more smoothly. I don't want to wait for expensive large-scale projects to take effect at some point, but to start directly with many, quick and noticeable improvements in spring 2026.

I advocate an on-demand bus model that reliably connects the districts and the old town with the city center. That way, not only children and senior citizens are less dependent on driving and gain freedom.

We are reducing traffic congestion by making it much safer and more pleasant (and faster!) to cycle in Neuburg—to school, university, and work. This starts with small things such as properly lowered curbs, cycle routes, and, of course, the long-awaited cycle bridge over the Danube, including the Nachbergweg, which is being implemented with determination.

Someone who tackles things.

  • From my management experience as a site manager with power of attorney, I know that quick, pragmatic decisions are often required, but also a plan of how to set the course in the long term. This requires courage, a cool head and the instinct to involve the right people at the right time.

  • We have serious decisions ahead of us regarding the development of the municipal utilities and thus the preservation of the baths and local heating, the roads and the infrastructure of our city. I bring with me many years of economic experience and a proven feel for opportunities that you can trust.

  • My motivation is not the will to save and administer, but to put Neuburg on a solid financial footing in the long term by strengthening our local economy with unbureaucratic administration and pragmatic support.

One from Neuburg.

  • Having grown up and gone to school in Neuburg, my wife and I decided to put down roots in Neuburg again with our family after living in Munich, Ulm, New York and Washington DC. Also to be close to our parents again with our now four children.

  • I know the kindergartens, the schools, the districts, the clubs, the great advantages of our city for families. But we have also experienced first-hand the challenges that families in Neuburg struggle with every day.

  • My goal is to create a city that is a home for Neuburg residents of all ages. With suitable mobility options, an active range of clubs and associations that are valued and supported by the city, with great leisure and cultural activities.
